la fondation a pour but de fournir un appui financier aux entités que feu François-Frédéric Petitmaître du Puget a entendu favoriser selon son testament du 1er avril 1859 et selon l'annexe du 1er novembre 1858 à ce testament, à savoir à ce jour FONDATION PETITMAITRE - maisons d'accueil (CHE-101.038.365) et la bibliothèque d'Yverdon-les-Bains. Cet appui financier sera fourni à d'autres entités poursuivant les mêmes buts, si l'une et/ou l'autre de ces deux entités venaient à disparaître. Conformément au but poursuivi, la fondation déploie son activité à Yverdon-les-Bains. La fondation n'a pas de but lucratif.
